"Welcome home little guy!" Bruno announced proudly. On the table sat a beautiful, ornate cage filled with toys, housing a beautiful bird with bright red, yellow, blue, and green feathers. Tweety chirped happily inside his new home.
Duchess walked into the room, drawn by the commotion. Her eyes fell on the caged bird, and she frowned. "Locked in a cell, what a fun life..." she muttered, looking unimpressed.
Bruno, slightly hurt by the comment, furrowed his brow. "He's no prisoner! Tweety loves his cage!" he snapped back, opening the cage door. He offered his paw to the bird, confident in his point. "Watch this, he'll go straight back in because he wants to be in there!"

Bruno fell silent, his excitement replaced by disappointment. He stared out the window, realising that anything Duchess had to say right now was not what he wanted to hear. The room grew quiet, save for the faint echoes of chirping from somewhere far beyond the open window.
