“...the squirrel ran right up and stole the food from my bowl!” complained Boxer to Bruno as they wandered the yard. At that very moment a mouse came running up to them frantically squeaking and waving to get their attention. "The mouse needs our help!” Boxer declared in alarm. "Quickly, let’s follow him.

Bruno wasn’t so sure. “You’re too trusting, Boxer. This is obviously a trap!” “No I don’t think so, Bruno! Let’s just go see!” “Fine,” Bruno said, “but don’t say you weren’t warned.”

They followed the mouse who darted towards the shed. As they approached, they could hear Duchess wailing and scratching at one of the small, dusty windows. “Let me out!” she cried, “I’m boiling alive in here!” Upon seeing her, Bruno’s eyes widened. He quickly lifted the mouse to the door handle so it could turn it while Boxer nudged the door open and ran inside. As the door swung open a waft of hot, steamy air hit Bruno. He realised his distrust was misplaced and that the mice weren't all that bad. After all, they had helped save Duchess’ life.
