Gizmo's Panic Attack: When Your Mind Throws You Under the Bus

Gizmo walks in the front door of his neighbour's house. He sees all the neighbourhood dogs partying in the living room. It’s Pug's birthday and everyone is invited! As he rounds the corner, everyone looks at him. “Gizmo’s here!” Bruno calls out.

The room suddenly goes very dark for Gizmo. He feels his face get hot and he starts to tremble. He feels stuck in place and wants to run! Everyone is looking at him, disgusted.

“What a loser,” Bruno jeers.

“No one invited YOU,” Pug, snarls.

“Why are they all staring at me?” he thinks to himself, panting. “Did I forget my pants?”

“Why are you here?” Boxer continues.

Gizmo feels as though he has a spotlight on him.

“Why did I even come? I don’t belong here!”

“Hey Gizmo!” the lights suddenly come on and Gizmo snaps back to reality... He looks up at Bruno's friendly face.

“Come on in! We’ve been waiting for you to start the party!” Bruno smiles. He then hands Gizmo a cup of lemonade.
