What are logical fallacies?
Share
A fallacy is a cheap trick to manipulate you
A propaganda technique designed to get you (and all of us) thinking in a certain way.
Otherwise known as the slippery slope, the ad hominem attack or the loaded question (plus so many more). They're used by politicians and the media every day to hide the truth. We use them every day with each other too!
Learn them or be clueless when they're used against you.
Let's look at an example
See in this comic how Duchess gets ambushed by the Loaded Question.

When she pauses, Duchess realises what the journalist (Tracy) is trying to do.* She's not just asking a simple question. She's trying to frame Duchess. Luckily, Duchess is much smarter and is not going to fall for Tracy's sneaky tricks.
*(Hot Tip: Always pause before responding! It gives you time to think and it throws the questioner off guard.)
