The Scary Movie

“YOU’RE NEXT!!” “AAHHH!! RUN!!’ The TV blared Claws of Carnage; the latest horror movie about a crazed killer cat.

“HELP ME!” a shrill voice screamed from the speakers.

"Oh, I can't watch!" Duchess whimpered, her face buried in a plush pillow, "Tell me when the scary part is over!" Bruno glanced at her, amused by her terror. The movie wasn't THAT frightening to him.

"Sure, Duchess," Bruno said with a mischievous glint in his eye, "I'll let you know when it's safe."

The film continued, its soundtrack a mix of bloodcurdling screams and eerie violins. Duchess remained hidden, her ears twitching at every sudden noise. Bruno's eyes darted between the screen and his trembling friend, a playful idea forming.

"You can look now," he announced casually, munching on his popcorn. Duchess cautiously peeked out from behind her fluffy shield.

"HE HAS A CHAINSAW!!! VRRRRRRRRR"

Duchess shrieked and immediately ducked behind the pillow again before getting up and with all her might, swatting Bruno with her pillow. Bruno erupted into fits of laughter, nearly choking on his snack.

"Don't do that, Bruno! You're terrible!" she huddled into the couch corner, fur on end.

"Sorry Duchess," he chuckled, wiping tears from his eyes, "but your reaction was priceless!"

This tale of Duchess and Bruno and their spooky movie night is all about the giggles and jitters of friendship! It shows how friends can trick each other for a laugh, even during a scary flick.
