Three comics in which Duchess is entirely in the wrong and absolutely will not admit it.
She pretends to help with the cleaning. She loses her temper at Bruno, who barely notices. She says exactly what she thinks about someone, moments before discovering they can hear her.
Your reader will recognise all three, because they have done all three.
The three comics
- Duchess Impresses Bruno - she makes it look like she's helping tidy up. Is she, though?
- Duchess Gets Mad - a full display of fury, received by Bruno with total calm.
- Duchess Talks Smack - she lets loose what she really thinks, and then has to face the music.
What's inside
- All three comics in colour and black-and-white
- Question sheets that work through each story properly
- Blank comic panels so they can draw their own
- Full answer sheets, plus a guide explaining the three levels of questioning
- 16 pages
The questions do more than they look like they do
Each comic is followed by three kinds of question: find it in the story, work out what wasn't said, and then decide what you think about it. Literal, inferential, evaluative - none of which appears anywhere on the page. As far as your reader is concerned, they're just arguing about a comic.
Who it's for
Ages 7 to 12. Good for a reluctant reader, a rainy afternoon, a classroom rotation, or a kid who will happily read a comic and nothing else.
What you'll receive
