Bruno's Big Blunder: The Birdzilla Chase

“Patience, Bruno. Wait until the perfect moment…” Duchess whispered. Duchess and Bruno were hiding behind some tall grass, waiting for the perfect moment to sneak past Birdzilla, the meanest, nastiest rooster who was protecting his brood of hens.

Bruno’s tail was wagging eagerly, keener than ever to run in.“Let’s go!!” he excitedly exclaimed. “Hold…” Duchess whispered, but before she could blink, Bruno bolted out! Immediately Birdzilla locked on and began chasing Bruno for daring to come anywhere near his hens. Duchess looked on, perplexed. She wouldn’t dare get involved and risk getting beat up by the rooster as well, she knew better than that.

Duchess came over to Bruno who was now lying out of the way, clearly beaten up by Birdzilla. She sat next to him and began licking her paw. “That was clearly the wrong moment, you know. Birdzilla was looking right at you!” She stood up and started walking away.

When Bruno returns, looking like he's been through a hurricane, feathers and all, Duchess says, "That was clearly the wrong moment," showing us that sometimes, if you rush into things, you'll end up in a mess. You've got to wait for the right time!
