A cat crying on the couch after losing her dog best friend

Come Home Bruno!

Duchess sat slumped on the couch, watching TV with a bucket of ice cream in her lap. Bruno had just left, and she was trying hard not to look depressed.

“You’re always controlling me and I’ve had enough!” she replayed what he had said as he had slammed the door. She scooped a big spoon of ice cream from the bucket in her lap.

“Bruno may be gone, but I’m better off without him anyway!” she declared to herself before popping the ice cream in her mouth. “It’s not MY fault he didn’t appreciate being introduced to the bug zapper!” She took another scoop of ice cream.

“And it’s not MY fault I boss him around! He never does his chores if I don’t tell him to! And how else will I get freshly brewed tea made every day? I clearly can't do that myself!”

“UP NEXT, A HEART WARMING STORY ABOUT A LOST DOG WHO FOUND ITS WAY HOME AFTER THREE LONG YEARS!”

The announcement hit Duchess like a ton of bricks. Suddenly, all her composure crumbled away. She couldn't think of anything but how much she missed Bruno and how empty the house felt without him.

"COME BACK BRUNOOOOOO!!!!" Duchess wailed, bursting into tears and flinging her ice cream across the room.

This comic strip is a funny look at what happens when we take our loved ones for granted. Duchess, in her moment of self-pity, realises just how much she needs Bruno in her life. She tries to justify bullying him but quickly realises how she may have lost him forever.
