Comic Clues Story Cards — Reading Comprehension Card Deck for Kids, Ages 7-12 | 24 Critical Thinking Comics
Couldn't load pickup availability
Twenty-four comics. Ninety-six questions. One deck kids actually ask for.
Each card is a complete Duchess and Bruno comic - and on the back, four questions that walk a reader from what happened all the way to what would you have done instead. Pull one out, read it in two minutes, argue about it for ten.
No screen. No set-up. No preparation. Just a deck you can hand to a kid who says they don't like reading, and watch them read.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "These amazing cards have been a welcome addition to my classroom resources. The comics are so fun and engaging. My students LOVE them and request them daily. I'm so impressed with how sturdy they are - I know they'll stay beautiful for a long time, even with enthusiastic little people handling them every day." - Kylie, teacher
What's on each card
One comic, then four questions that climb: remember what happened, work out what it meant, apply it somewhere new, and then pull it apart and decide what you think. That's all six levels of Bloom's Taxonomy, in a format that looks like a game.
Nobody has to know that. The kids just think they're arguing about a comic.
What's in the box
- 24 comic cards - a full comic on the front, four questions on the back
- Comic Clues chart - decodes what each icon on the card means
- Comprehension strategies guide - for anyone who wants to go deeper
- Six games - different ways to use the deck, so it doesn't become a routine
- Full answer sheets - check their work, or let them check it themselves
